Katniss Everdeen

So lately I have fallen in love with the Hunger Games. While reading the second book Catching Fire, I got really interested by the dresses that have been designed for Katniss. Here's how I pictured her famous Mockingjay dress.

"Skulls"

A painting I have been working on during the summer. Took me a while. It's not perfect but I like it. The background took me most of the time.

"We're All A Little Weird"

One of the drawings I did this summer. My idea ;)

A creative way of using pastels.

Well people might not know but pastels don't have to be only used for drawing or colouring. There are many creative things you can do with them and I will show you a very good one ;)
Well believe it or not but you can actually dye your hair with pastels temporarily !
It takes a while and I would recommend washing your hands afterwards as soon as possible because I doubt you would want to have e.g blue hands for days.
How to dye hair:
Apply conditioner onto the part of your hair you want to dye and blend it in so the pastels will be applied  properly (I wouldn't recommend using pastels to dye your whole head. It will just take too much time and will dry out the skin on your head etc.)
After applying the conditioner, brush out your hair and spray some water onto it. Spray the water onto your hair rather than wet your whole head because it won't work the same.
And then, apply pastels. You can get them in any art shop and they shouldn't be too expensive. When you see the pastels don't stick onto the hair anymore, spary some more water and keep on repeating this proces. At the end you can brush your hair with your fingers because your comb might take off the colour.
When your hair is dry, put on some hairspray so that the colour will last longer and also so that the hair won't mess up your clothes and skin because you will probably look quite funny with blue skin.
And of course, it will come as soon as you wash it with shampoo. If you put only water onto the hair, the colour will still stay. So if you will get stuck in the rain with dyed hair you probably won't lose the colour quickly.

Sugar Skull inspired hair clip.

If anyone remembers, I have been fascinated with the Mexican Suger Skulls. I have already done a bit of research on them and if you have visited my blog you probably remember, that I did my own inspired by make up. Well this time I would like to share with you my Sugar Skull hair clip (the idea was by Charlavail). It took me a while to make but I am happy what it turned out to be. Hope you like it :)
